How much does a website for a phone repair shop cost?

Building it yourself on a site builder costs about $230 to $350 a year for a plan that connects your domain, and paying a web designer or agency usually costs a few thousand dollars or more up front. A Starter STACK is a flat $175/year for one page that we write, build and host for you, with no setup fee.

What each option costs

There are three ways to get a website for a repair shop: build it yourself on a site builder, pay a web designer or agency to build it, or have it done for you on a yearly plan. Here is what each one costs, from the published price pages.

When each option is the right choice

Build it yourself on a site builder

Wix and Squarespace are good products. If you like design work, have a few free evenings, and want to change the site yourself whenever you feel like it, a builder is the cheapest way to get a full multi-page site. The real cost is your time: picking a template, writing every line, taking photos, and keeping prices and hours current. Count the domain too, which is free for the first year on both and then renews at the normal rate.

Pay a web designer or an agency

A designer or agency is the right call when you want a custom look, many pages, or features a template cannot do, and you have the budget. Ask three things before you sign: who hosts it and what that costs each year, who makes changes after launch and at what rate, and whether you own the domain. A one-time build often turns into a monthly bill for hosting and edits.

Have it done for you on a yearly plan

A done-for-you plan fits the shop owner who wants a professional page live this week and does not want to build or maintain it. That is what a Starter STACK is: send your shop details, we write and build the page, you approve it, and it goes live on your domain, usually in under 24 hours. New prices or new hours later are a message to us, not an afternoon in a page builder.

What a repair shop website actually needs

Most repair customers find you on a phone, often while the broken phone is in their other hand. The page has a short list of jobs.

  1. What you fix. The devices and repairs, in the words customers search for: "iPhone screen repair", not "mobile solutions".
  2. A price, or a from price. People compare. A page with no price sends them to the next shop to find one.
  3. How to reach you. A call or text button that stays in reach, plus your address, hours and directions.
  4. Proof, briefly. Your real reviews and your real address. A few lines, not a wall.
  5. Tracking. Knowing which visits became a call, a text or a form is how you tell whether the site is earning its keep.

Everything on that list fits on one page. devicebetter.com is our live demo of a Starter STACK, built on the exact product above. It opens in a new tab, and you can preview it with your own shop name and city.

Costs people forget to count

  • Your time. A DIY site is cheap in dollars and expensive in hours, both to build and to keep current.
  • Year two. Free domains on builder plans are for the first year. Check the renewal price, not just the first bill.
  • Add-ons. Booking, email marketing and extra features can sit on a higher plan or a separate product, as with Squarespace and Acuity Scheduling.
  • Changes after launch. With a designer or agency, ask whether edits are included or billed by the hour.
  • Tracking. If the site cannot tell you which visits turned into calls, you are paying for it without knowing what it returns.

When one page is not enough. A Starter STACK is one page. If you want a page for every device and every repair, so Google can rank your shop for each search, plus booking built into your own site, step up to a full Repair Stack. Upgrade in your first year and your entire $175 applies to it.

Questions shops ask about this

Can I build it myself for free?+

You can start for free, but a free plan is rarely enough for a shop. Wix has a free plan, but it shows a Wix banner ad and runs on a wixsite.com address instead of your own domain. Squarespace has no free plan. To use your own domain on either one you need a paid plan, and the cheapest of those start around $17 to $19 a month billed yearly.

What does a repair shop website need?+

Your services and prices, your address, hours and directions, a few real reviews, and a call or text button that is always in reach on a phone. It also needs to load fast on cellular, and it should tell you which visits turned into a call, a text or a form. Most repair customers find you on a phone, so the page is judged on a phone.

Why one page instead of a full site?+

Because most shops do not need more to get the call. A customer looking for a repair wants to know you fix their device, roughly what it costs, and how to reach you. One page that answers those three things beats eight pages nobody reads. When you want a page for every device and repair so Google can rank you for each one, that is what a full Repair Stack is for.

What is included for $175/year?+

One page, written and built for your shop, on your own domain (use yours, or we register one free with your purchase), with hosting handled and call, text and form tracking included. It is usually live in under 24 hours and you approve it before it goes live. When you need a change, you ask and we make it. No setup fee. Upgrade to a full Stack in your first year and your entire $175 applies to it.

Not sure which option fits your shop? Talk it through first.

Free consulting comes before any plan. Book a call, bring your current site if you have one, and leave knowing whether a Starter STACK, a full Repair Stack or a builder you run yourself fits your shop.
